	I hope somebody has already done this and could share the solution. Given two points I would like to have a simple spreadsheet that would calculate m & b of the linear equation y=mx+b ...... It anybody can help that would be great.

	Simple regression functions Rate this: (4/5 from 2 votes) This equation is a simple regression calculation where M is the coefficient (SLOPE function in Excel) and B is the intercept (INTERCEPT function in Excel). If you two points do not have two dimensions (y and x) just use 1 and 2 for y (sequential for more observations).
