ConfusedHi everybody!

I will love to find help from you in terms of how can I creat the Firm Fixed Price Formula to forecast outeyars pricing.  This will help me in my actual work in the area of Manufacturing.

Here is two examples that I created in order to generate this FFP forecast formula.

1.  take as a base history price; and I need to forecast that Firm Fixed Priced for 5 years more; considering the needed quantities projected.

  Qty2009 FFP    Unit PriceQty2010  FFP    Unit Price

 HISTORICAL PER UNIT COST History QTY ORDERED
 $    7.45 5440 150
 $ 186.75 640 150
 $    3.65 81040 150

1.  take as a base actual 2008 price; and I need to forecast that Firm Fixed Priced for 5 years more; considering the needed quantities projected.  Also, I have a question.  Do the amounts quoted on the first column affect the results of the forecast?

 Given FFP FFP FFP
Qty.2008 PriceQty.2009Qty.2010Qty2011
109.2525 45 55
2514.535 55 65
6755.2540 65 75

  I really will appreciate all your help.

The regression equation used for the forecast uses the first column has the dependent variable.

The forecast then predicts the price going forward.
