ConfusedWhen I paste in 10 rows of new data with 4 independent variables (i.e., not that much data), I get Run Time Error 6.  I haven't renamed the worksheets, but I have unprotected them.  How can I fix this problem?

Thanks!!

This error is an overflow error caused by the number of observations exceeding the Integer limit of around 32,000.

We have updated the template to accommodate this and a new version can be downloaded from here.

I have the same problem with the new template. 4 variables, 22 observations, all observations are integers. I just purchased the template today

This should not be occuring.  Please make sure that there are no repeated independent variables with the same data.

You can send through your template with data by replying to the notification email of this post and attaching it. We will then investigate and resolve the issue.

We isolated this error which arises in Excel 2007 when one of the Input variable data is formatted as Custom format and not numeric. In this case, the program does not recognize the data and causes the Runtime Error 6 to occur. The solution is to format all of the data in the Input sheet as Number.

An overflow results when you try to make an assignment that exceeds the limitations of the target of the assignment. This error has the following causes and solutions:
The result of an assignment, calculation, or data type conversion is too large to be represented within the range of values allowed for that type of variable.
Assign the value to a variable of a type that can hold a larger range of values.
An assignment to a property exceeds the maximum value the property can accept.
Make sure your assignment fits the range for the property to which it is made.
You attempt to use a number in a calculation, and that number is coerced into an integer, but the result is larger than an integer.

Greetings,
Peter
